Outreach
As a highly active research department at the University of Michigan, one of our many goals is to present to the
community the amazing experiences that take place in the Physics Department. With our strong outreach programs, over the past decade, we have developed
opportunities for those interested in science to become involved in science. Our outreach mission is to inform and connect citizens with current physics events.
These programs offer a wide variety of opportunities such as the Future Science: Future Engineering
Program and the Michigan Math and Science Scholars (MMSS), held at our Ann Arbor
campus and the Research Undergraduate Education (REU) program held locally in Ann Arbor and at the European Laboratory for Particle Physics (CERN) in Geneva, Switzerland.
