Undergraduate ProgramThe University of Michigan has one of the country's leading physics departments. It has abundant facilities for undergraduate and graduate instruction in physics and offers a wide variety of experimental and theoretical research programs open to undergraduate and graduate students.Undergraduates concentrating in physics have several choices: There is also an Honors Concentration in physics, and a Physics and Society option offered in collaboration with the Residential College. These undergraduate pages offer an introduction to why physics graduates remain at the forefront of science and technology advances, an overview of degree programs offered within the department, an introduction to research opportunities for undergraduates (along with profiles of the work done by some current and past undergrads), and an outline of career opportunities in physics. |
