Physics Department Office of the Chair's website. This website is primarily
to assist the students, staff, and faculty in the Department by providing information.
Most faculty are given allocations in their own general fund
account from which they are expected to buy their (A-21 unallowable) Research,
Departmental Teaching and Administrative office supplies.
The area research secretaries have been given signer authority on these
accounts and have the authority to coordinate and place office supply orders on behalf of
their faculty and associated post-docs, research assistants, etc., as well as their own
administrative support needs. Please see your area secretary for assistance.
For those few faculty who did not receive discrete office supply funds, please see the
front desk receptionist for assistance with your supply needs.
Please click here for room 340 West Hall projector instructions.
All postings of staff positions, requests for reclassifications, and requests to make an offer of a position must be reviewed by the Administrative Manager before submission to the College. To initiate a posting, hiring, or reclassification, please see the Administrative Manager.
Departmental staff meetings are usually held on the last Thursday of each month in 335 West Hall beginning at 9:10 a.m., and usually run until 10:10 a.m. All department, administrative and research support, and instructional staff are encouraged to attend. |
