    Department Facilities

    Demonstration Lab

  • A physics operated facility located in the Dennison Building across from Randall Laboratory where demonstration staff build faculty requested experiments.

    Instrument Shop

  • This facility manufactures/modifies prototype and low-production runs of scientific measuring instruments from metal and plastic. The facility also houses the Student Shop where students learn to physically use power tools to create their own experiments.

    Intro Labs

  • A round-the-clock educational resource for students taking the physics courses 127, 128, 141, and 241.

    Help Room

  • A place located in Randall Lab where students' taking the introductory physics courses can go for help.

    CAP Homework

  • The Computer Assisted Physics (CAP) system provides World Wide Web access for learning, teaching, assessment, and grade administration in University of Michigan introductory physics courses.

    Office of Computer Services

  • Provides computer and network installation, configuration, and maintenance.

    Electronics Shop

  • A facility engaged in the design and fabrication of instrumentation for the High Energy Physics research community.
